Job Description

Maternity Cover Communication Support Specialist within the Public Sector - City of London - UP to £42k + Benefits

I am currently representing one of our clients within the Public sector who are instrumental in providing the safety and security of over 3 Billion people and over 100 million tons of freight per year by utilising critical control systems. Due to this increasing number of responsibilities, they are now looking to expand their team centred around their London Headquarters with an exciting new communications support specialist role for 9 months Maternity cover

Reporting into the Unified Communication Services Manager, as the communication support specialist you will be responsible for;

  • To oversee of the delivery of Airwave into CrossRail and Thameslink (and other infrastructure/coverage related projects) providing project assurance and managing testing and handover to service.
  • To manage the lifecycle of Airwave devices and the use of the Airwave network including device audit, maintenance and repair, adherence to operating regulations and ensuring compliance with CESG requirements, maintaining associated documentation eg ADS and Code of Connection.
  • Managing the Lost or Stolen process including production of mandated reports to Operational Communications in Policing (OCiP) and CESG.
  • Support the Emergency Services Network programme.

As part of your job, you will be utilising your degree in specific IT and your knowledge of critical control systems such as SAAB, Airwaves and APD you will also be key in using experience gathered across past emergency services roles.
