Job Description

My client is currently looking for a Community Relations Assistant to join their team based in Manchester City Centre. You will work part of the week remotely and part of the week in the office. You will be provided with IT equipment for any work undertaken at home.

This is a temporary role, currently for 6 months with the potential of being extended.

The hours will be Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm. The pay rate is £15.26 per hour.

For this role you will be working as part of a team to deliver first class customer service using a range of communication methods. You will work closely with the local community and businesses and be responsible for monitoring and managing local activities and relationships.

Some of your other duties and responsibilities will be:

- Assessing and resolving a high number of enquiries, requests and complaints via email, letter and telephone
- Maintaining accurate records including copies of letters and forms received, services given and complaints made
- Investigating and escalating any reoccurring issues and work with internal and external stakeholders to achieve a joined up consistent response
- Using your own judgement to make decisions within established procedures
- Representing the business at community events and public meetings

To be successful in this role you must have experience in customer services or complaints management. You should also have experience of planning and delivering proactive customer engagement.

You will need to adhere to quality standards in order to maximise customer satisfaction and you will actively represent the customer throughout the organisation, striving for continuous improvement. You should also have excellent time management skills, impeccable telephone manner as well as strong written communication.

If successful you will be required to provide 3 years of references.
