Job Description

My client is urgently recruiting for an experienced Co Sec Assistant who ideally has some experience of the Lloyds insurance industry ( but they would also consider applicants from an FCA regulated company)

The role covers off both Co Sec Assistant duties and some compliance too such as:

  • Responsible for arranging board and committee meetings
  • Provide assistance with the preparation of Board and Committee meeting information and packs
  • Take minutes of Committee meetings and ensure that these are typed up, checked and circulated to the relevant parties in a timely manner
  • Assist with reviewing governance arrangements
  • Responsible for annual and adhoc reporting to Companies House
  • Monitor and create compliance reports
  • Investigate compliance risks and issues and provide feedback as necessary
  • Assist in the resolution of complaints, the maintaining of complaints records and complaint reporting to Lloyd's / the Financial Ombudsman Service
  • Respond to queries from the business including licences, sanctions, broker remuneration, TOBA's etc
  • General assistance in the drafting and updating of policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Provide support with regulatory reporting, including maintaining the business timetable and advising the business of upcoming deadlines;




The keys skills and experience they are looking for are:
Ideally 2-3 years' company secretarial and/or compliance experience;
Some compliance, regulatory or legal knowledge;
Some familiarity with governance best practices;
Some knowledge of insurance, ideally in a Lloyd's syndicate environment;
Experience of taking and typing up of minutes;
Experience of company secretarial duties, including preparation of meeting packs;
