Job Description

Are you a care assistant looking for an exciting new opportunity?

I am currently recruiting for a complex care practitioner to work 1-1 in a ventilated unit within a neurological Rehabilitation centre. The client is flexible with both full and part time hours going with days and nights. The core shifts would be 8am-9pm, 8pm-9am, 8am-4pm or 2pm-9pm.

You'll need to meet personal and social care needs of residents and to help in the care of residents physical environment and in general day to day activities of the home.

Responsibilities will include - Assisting with personal care, supporting mobility problems, following care plans and risk assessments and to protect confidentiality of the home and in particular the residents.

Essential requirements -
Previous experience in a care environment
Enthusiasm and willingness to learn and gain competence in all areas of the role.
Have a caring, calm and empathetic attitude towards service users and their complex needs.
A desire to develop skills in working with adults with complex neurological conditions.
A flexible, practical and a team player.


Desirable requirements-
NVQ 3
Previous experience of working with service users that have a Tracheostomy or are ventilated.

You will also receive in-depth training for around 3-6 months before you are given any responsibility and will receive as much support needed until you are comfortable in the role.

Starting at £9.05 per hour and increasing with progression reaching £10.20 per hour.
