Are you a Construction Manager looking for a new position?

Do you have good knowledge of the embedded power generation industry?

Then this could be the perfect role for you!

I am working with a client who works within the production and manufacturing field. They are looking for a Construction Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The company is a new independent power producer primarily focused on building and operating highly flexible small-mid scale embedded peaking generation and battery storage projects in the UK. They are offering a competitive salary of between £40,000 to £55,000 dependant on your experience and knowledge plus great benefits. Your role will be to assist in the delivery of the Company's development and construction objectives by providing support and resource to the delivery of specific Flexible Power Generation projects. The ideal candidate will have a be a well organised and logical thinker, with good team management and knowledge of CAD. If you have a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or are working towards or attained Chartered Status, you would be a great fit too!

Your key responsibilities will be;
-Ensure the personal and team delivery of a number of development and construction projects in accordance with agreed timescales and costs.
-To effectively monitor, manage, control and report on capital spend for designated projects/sites on a continuous basis.
-To utilise the most suitable form of contract(s) for the individual project to deliver the projects and specific requirements and to ensure agreed risk to the company is minimised.
-Monitor and review changes to health and safety, environmental and quality legislation and ensure information is disseminated to team and department as appropriate.
-Monitor and review emerging technologies, technical developments and engineering practices, providing management data as necessary.
-Ensure the smooth handover of the project to the Operations team.
-Provide construction advice to other departments to facilitate the delivery projects into the construction and operations pipeline.
