We have a fantastic opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric care for up to 30 young people across Yorkshire and Lancashire

You will be working for an incredible organisation who offer specialist mental health packages to young people in residential care settings. Their innovative and evidence-based model of care aims to support young people presenting with high levels of complexity and risk in the least restrictive setting. As the Consultant Psychiatrist your key responsibilities will be to lead a multi-disciplinary review monthly for up to 30 young people resident in Care in Mind residential homes; acting as Responsible Clinician in accordance with MHA (amended 2007) and utilising Care Programme Approach. This includes medication management, risk assessment and review, MHA and Mental capacity assessments, and maintaining an overview of progress across all domains. You will also provide psychiatric consultation and advice to both clinical and residential teams.


The successful applicant will be a Fully Registered Medical Practitioner, a membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent, Eligible for GMC Specialist Register, Approval under Sec 12 MHA 1983/current Approved Clinician Status and hold experience working with Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder either in community or in-patient setting.
