We are proud to be supporting the NHS with the expansion of their 999 Contact Centre team, based within their office in Bedford.

This is a temporary position to start work asap (dependant upon satisfactory referencing and DBS check). It is a office based role due to the nature of this contact centre, does require candidates who are flexible to work shifts are the clock; Monday - Sunday (total of 37.5hrs per week).

Working within a highly challenging but equally rewarding position, you'll be the first contact for anyone calling '999', playing a crucial role and being part of the Emergency Services. Receiving high volumes of inbound calls, you will be responsible for taking emergency calls, speaking with the general public in a calm and professional manner.

Within your role you will be given the responsibility to prioritise calls in an order of urgency and will adapt quickly to ever changing situations. You'll need to be able to remain calm under pressure and be happy to work in a fast-paced environment. There may be occasions where you will deal with distressed patients, you will need to be able to offer empathy and compassion over the call. This will be a rewarding role for those who can work well under pressure

  • Customer service experience
  • Motivated to helping people
  • The ability to take and record information accurately

Please note, that due to the nature of this role, you will be required to pass a standard DBS check, if successful for this temporary position.
