Job Description

A market leading FMCG manufacturer, supplying ` The Big 4` and other major retailers throughout the UK are seeking a Continuous Improvement Manager to join their Lincolnshire site.

You will be an engaging individual who is motivated to drive culture change across the site with the ability to develop & deploy new manufacturing processes to deliver improved results. You will contribute significantly to the development of CI strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

" Primary function of the role is to lead, manage and co-ordinate the continuous improvement program within a manufacturing business to meet the business goals and objectives
" To develop materials and subsequently train members of the organisation in Lean tools and techniques to promote a culture of CI in the organisation and create CI supporters within the business
" Contribute to the development of CI strategic initiatives, business case elements on cost, quality and KPIs and coordinate these projects to deliver the short, medium and long term business objectives
" To be the leader of change throughout the business. Pragmatic and effective approach to managing all projects across the business, with clear documentation, quantification of costs and expected benefits
" To develop a strategy for C.I and deploy the appropriate lean tools and techniques required to meet the business KPI`S
" Identify and implement process improvements with key business deliverables of quality, cost, service and inventory
" To deploy the best practice lean tools and techniques within the business through coaching and training of key managers, supervisors and staff. Ensuring these enable the business to deliver changes to meet the changing demands on the business
" To achieve annualised savings for projects and initiatives
" To continually improve project management techniques and coach others (including senior managers) in the use and development of these tools to ensure projects are clearly managed and closed out in a timely manner. Ensuring project plans are maintained, accurate and present regular status updates
" To eliminate or reduce business issues through the use of root cause analysis ad corrective action plans
" To engage fully with the whole organisation to promote the benefits of lean/C.I and gain buy in to help change the culture

Desired Skills and Experience

" Engineering degree or equivalent
" Lean qualifications such as 6 sigma and/or a proven experience of implementation and delivered results
" A deep understanding of LEAN methodologies
" Project and Programme Management
" Confident in communicating and providing objective challenge at all levels
" Ability to demonstrate a collaborative style. Capable of working within a multi-discipline team as well as leading and mentoring staff
" Training of cross functional groups
" Enthusiasm to get involved and lead by example
" Energy, enthusiasm and a commitment to quality and on-time delivery

Salary: £50k- £60k (D.O.E) + Benefits
