My client is one the UK's leading structural steelwork contractors, established for over 65 years with a highly experienced and forward-thinking team, based in Herefordshire.
They currently have a vacancy for an Estimator to join their hugely successful team, on a full time, permanent basis.

As the company Contract Estimator you will support the development of new business and contracts by pursuing new enquiries and building accurate estimates for work based on engineers drawings:

Duties will include:

" Contacting customers pursuing new enquiries
" Contacting customers pursuing feedback on current tenders
" Developing new business
" Manage and maintain enquiry log with all incoming enquiries
" Building estimates based on drawing take off and any secondary trades necessary
" Analysis of engineer drawings to visualise a project from 2D drawings to a 3D image
" Processing RFI's when required to our customers


To be considered for this position you must have:

" Previous experience in an engineering or steel fabrication environment
" The ability to read engineer/technical drawings
" Possess strong customer care skills
" Excellent written and verbal communication skills
" Ability to work to tight deadlines and multi task under pressure
" Work well within a team
" Ability to present your estimate to the management team

The successful candidate will eventually become responsible for their own clients, attend tender review meetings with key customers and supply chain events to meet potential new customers.
