NHS Digital - Contracts Assistant
Location: Leeds City Centre
Hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours)
Pay: £9.28ph increasing to £10.79ph
This is an ongoing temporary position with the possibility of a further extension at the discretion of the business requirements.
Role Overview:
We are currently recruiting for full time Contracts Assistant to join the Team with our client, NHS Digital based in Leeds City Centre. The role will include working as part of a flexible busy office within the Commercial Operations Team and will be managing several tasks on your own and providing Administrative support for others.
Responsibilities include:
- Using the NHS database to obtain electronic signatures
- Creating contract records from (sometimes lengthy) contract documentation
- Ensuring new contracts and requisitions go through the correct governance and approval processes
- Managing the legal billing process using MS Excel and Outlook to ensure that all incoming invoices and documentation are verified and processed in a timely fashion
- Analysing complex data and demonstrating attention to detail
- Managing conflicting priorities as part of a variable and changing workload
What we are looking for:
- Excellent organisational skills
- No qualifications or prior knowledge are necessary as full training will be given, however any experience of the Commercial Life-cycle or Finance would be an advantage
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and other programmes
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good written English and a good head for numbers is essential to this role
- Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to work under pressure
- The successful candidate will be a good team player with a positive attitude to work, who is able to focus on complex tasks in an open plan (and sometimes noisy) environment
