Job Description

Primary Care Contracting & Commissioning Manager - Band 7

Are you an experienced Contracts Manager?
Do you have a track record of delivery?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Manager role within the Primary Care team for a 6 month fixed term contract or secondment to cover maternity leave and expressions of interest are welcome. Working as part of a team committed to improving outcomes for Primary Care you will be educated to degree level or equivalent with experience of managing projects.

As a Primary Care Contracting & Commissioning Manager you will deliver a range of business functions to support the effective delivery of our programme of work. The successful candidate will be someone who can demonstrate:

o Experience of project and programme management.
o Experience of working with GP practices, providers and other stakeholders.
o Excellent analytic and organisational skills with the ability to respond capably to the unexpected demands of the programme
o The ability to work on own initiative and to organise own workload, working to tight and often changing timescales
o A strong level of IT skills enabling comprehensive analysis, interpretation and presentation of complex data
o Clear communication skills, strong reasoning and negotiating abilities with excellent writing, report writing and presentation skills

You will be leading designated Primary Care projects and GP contractual changes, whilst supporting the team to deliver the GP contract and Primary Care Network framework. The Primary Care Team are currently working remotely, but in exceptional circumstances there may be rare instances where you will be required to attend a CCG or GP practice location.
