Our client is a leading firm based in Edinburgh delivering legal services in the areas of dispute resolution, commercial and charities, and private client and property work.
The position of Legal Secretary will assist the team with all aspects of residential conveyancing, supporting client communication and dictation for the team.
Experience of all types of residential conveyancing, up-to-date current knowledge of conveyancing procedures and documentation coupled with fast accurate audio typing skills are essential.
o Typing from digital dictation (via BigHand), handwritten drafts or typed documents.o Draft standard documents
o Prepare Land Registration forms
o Prepare LBTT Returns
o Order First Scottish Reports/Searches
o Prepare fee notes
o Prepare cash statements
o General administrative duties.
o Good organisation and communication
o Accuracy and attention to detail
o Ability to prioritise effectively and work independently to produce an efficient turnaround of work
Previous residential conveyancing experience is desirable, however, experience from working in a private client background will be considered
