Our client in the Bradford area is looking for a Cook/Trainer for a period of 2 months.
The position will be for 25 hours per week. All hours are averaged over a 4-week rota including Saturday working.
As a Cook/Trainer you will be responsible for leading a successful service on a day to day basis.
Your key responsibilities in this post will be:
- Preparing and presenting food to a high standard
- Ensure all foods prepared and served meet current food hygiene standards and the kitchen, food stores and café areas adhere to environmental health & hygiene standards, keeping and maintaining appropriate records for inspection.
- Supervise and train a team of volunteers
- Plan and produce menus
- Organise and support the volunteers/trainees in the cleaning of the kitchen, food stores and café areas
As a successful candidate, you would have prior experience preparing a variety of food within the catering industry with appropriate qualifications in food preparation and cooking. You will be able to produce nutritious, well presented meals within an agreed budget and experience of training, leading and supporting a team.
