Job Description

** Coordinator - Children, Young People and Families **
** Northampton, Rushden, Barton Latimer and Irthlingborough - Northamptonshire **
** Permanent and full time **
* Mixed shifts; earlies, lates, long days, 24 hours days - this all depends on the needs of the service users at the time *
** £22,400 **
** Working with children and young people within supported living. This could be with a care leaver or with parents under a 12 week court order **

BS Social Care are currently working with a private care company to source a candidate within the Northamptonshire area. This Coordinator - Children, Young People and Families will work with care leavers following a care plan for their needs and parents who are under the courts to decide on whether or not the children are to be removed. This role is paying £22,400 and requires you to hold and NVQ Level 3 in a relevant Health and Social Care course OR Diploma/Degree qualification in a relevant Health and Social Care course, be willing to undertake NVQ Level 5 and be a driver and car owner.
About the employer; this is a care company who provide care to children and young people who are care leavers from fostering placements, residential homes and secure units. They also support parents who are currently working with the courts.

About the role;

To assist the Service Manager in the coordination of accommodation and support services for vulnerable children, young people and families by safeguarding their welfare and promoting independence in the local community.
About the ideal candidate; it is essential that you hold a NVQ Level 3 in a relevant Health and Social Care course OR Diploma/Degree qualification in a relevant Health and Social Care course, be willing to undertake NVQ Level 5 and be a driver and car owner.

You will be someone who is able to cover a shift should another Support Worker not turn up for a shift, be a competent communicator with good listening and analytical skills, be a good team player, be always focused on delivering positive outcomes, be able to work to deadlines, have a qualification in the relevant field, possess good leadership skills, be a self-starter and work independently with initiative, have the ability to be able to balance business and service needs, have the ability to maintain a calm manner when dealing with day-to-day challenges, be able to handle pressure and stay focused, be willing to work in the companies multiple sites, this may include out-of-area and overnight travel/visits, be willing to carry out all tasks as they arise to meet service needs, model the companies ethos, corporate behaviours and has high standards in maintaining the quality of the Service
