Job title: Court Administrator (AO)
Rate: £9.65ph rising to £10.86ph (After 12 weeks)
Working hours: 37 per week (Mon - Fri Loosely based around 9.00 - 17.00)
Start date: ASAP - once completed successful checks
End date: December 2022 (with the possibility of extension)
This position is subject to undertaking a Standard DBS
An AO role covers all areas of general clerical work.
Work also involves use of various IT systems upon which training will be given.
The tasks are straightforward, regulated by well-established guidelines and/or detailed instructions.
Admin staff work within a team with regular management support and are responsible for their own time.
Customer service and IT skills are essential to this role along with being able to work as part of a team.
All admin duties performed include but not limited to:
Handling personal information in relation to prospective magistrates and those already appointed.
Day to day management of sittings for approx. 530 magistrates using a web-based Government programme.
Communicating with magistrates either via email or telephone on a daily basis.
Dealing with the recruitment process for the magistracy which will now include setting up and hosting remote interviews via MS Teams.
Bench and Committee support i.e. arranging meetings and taking notes at those meetings. Arranging and supporting magistrates training.
