Job Description
Our public sector client is looking for a temporary worker to join their team as a Marshall.
The role of a Marshall is to provide support and guidance to help visitors in out court houses/hearing centres. Marshall's are pivotal to the smooth running of the courts providing a good level of customer service.
You will be supporting the flow of visitors in and out of the court house. You will be required to keep a panel of jurors over lunch periods in a safe and friendly environment - this is between 12pm to 2pm daily.
The post holder will be providing clear and concise verbal instructions, reassuring visitors and answering queries, signposting to the correct area when necessary. Supporting and supervising visitors in waiting areas.
Ad hoc tasks like restocking of court stationary and equipment will be required.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Clear and Assertive communication skills
- Team working skill
- Ability to use your initiative
- Good mobility - you will most likely be on your feet all day
This role is initially temporary until the end of January 2022, with the chance of being extended. This is full time Monday - Friday, 37 hours a week. The pay rate for this role is National minimum wage, £8.36 for under 23`s, £8.91 for 23 and over.
