Are you interested in working within the Public Sector and in working as a Court Usher?

We are currently recruiting for a Court Usher who will be based at a location closest to their home address but must be able to travel between Newcastle and South Shields, as well as potentially North Shields and Bedlington. Travel expenses will be paid when applicable.

Main duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Ensuring the Court/Hearing room is set up each morning
- Liaising with Legal Teams, Judiciary and members of the public who are using the rooms during the day
- Welcoming and settling people on arrival, and providing great customer service to all
- General Administration duties (i.e. operating a PC, Filing and Photocopying)


Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and be confident when dealing with the various stakeholders mentioned.

An Enhanced DBS will be required for this role, therefore if you hold a transferable DBS this would be a definite advantage.

The assignment will be for 6 months initially, depending on start date, but may be extended beyond that period. This is a full-time position, working 37 hours a week on a Monday to Friday basis, primarily between 9am and 5pm (approx.). Salary will be £8.21 p/h.
