Job Description

Our public sector client is looking for a temporary worker to join their team as a court usher. This is initially a temporary contract until March 2022, with the chance of extension. This is a full time, Monday - Friday role, 37 hours a week. The pay rate for this role is minimum wage, £8.91 for candidates aged 23 and over. £8.36 for candidates under the age of 23.

As a court usher you will be the first point of contact to court users. You will be meeting and greeting them, directing them to their hearing rooms. You will have regular communication with the judges and will be assisting with the set up and running of the courts.

Great communication skills are also really important as you will be dealing/speaking with a variety of people, some of which may be in a vulnerable state. A court usher is also expected to be able to react to situations quickly.
