Job Description

Our public sector client are looking for a temporary worker to join their team as a court usher. This is initially a temporary contract until the end of March 2022, with the chance of being extended. This is a full time role, Monday to Friday, 37 hours. This is National Minimum Wage £8.36 for under 23's and £8.91 for 23 and over.

As a court usher you will be meeting and greeting court users. It is really important that you have excellent communication and customer service skills. You will be dealing with a wide range of people, some of these may be highly distressed so it is important that you can communicate with different people.

You will often communicate with the judges to ensure court hearings are set up correctly for the day and help with the smooth running.

Mobility is essential for the role as you will be active and on your feet for majority of the day. You may also be required to do some lifting, carrying and filing. The post holder may be required to carry out some general admin tasks, so IT experience would be useful.
