Job Description

My Public Sector client, based in the Birmingham City Centre, are currently recruiting for a number of Court Usher. This is a role which balances both Usher and clerical duties, equally allowing you to work where needed, being an essential point of contact for all court users involved in hearings whilst providing excellent administrative support to the various teams within the business.

There will be regular contact with the judiciary, legal representatives and the general public so some customer service experience would be extremely beneficial. You will also be required to prepare court/hearing rooms, complete documentation, and overall to ensure the court runs smoothly and efficiently.

This is a full time role, requiring you to work Monday - Friday 37.00 hours per week. You will be paid national minimum wage for the first 12 weeks, and this will then rise to £8.72ph as of your 13th week of work (if you are over the age of 24, you will receive £8.72ph from day one as this is your minimum wage rate).

This is a temporary, on-going position with no confirmed end date. We are not able to guarantee that this position will become permanent.

If your application is successful, we will be required to process an Enhanced DBS check and obtain 3 years of referencing. You will have to pay for the initial cost of the DBS (£40) however, this money is returned to you after 4 weeks of work (terms applied)

We also have court marshall positions available

If you meet the above criteria and are interested in going forward, please apply now. If you do not hear back within 5 days of your application, this does mean that you have been unsuccessful. Due to the volume of applications, we are unfortunately unable to provide individual feedback to those who have been unsuccessful.
