Brook Street are recruiting for Court Ushers to join the courts in Nottingham city centre on a temporary basis

Working for the MOJ you will gain valuable experience within the public sector

The roles are temporary working full time Monday to Friday 37 hours per week, the assignments are expected to run for 3-6 months initially and have the potential to be extended

As a court usher your duties may include but not be limited to

Liaising between judges and parties/court users
Creating and updating records
Producing letters, notices and orders for court and for service on parties
Processing correspondence and making referrals to Judges.
Dealing with customer queries either by telephone or face-to-face
Listing and preparing cases for hearing
Filing, including the transfer of files between different office locations in Nottingham
Post opening
General ad hoc office duties
Preparation of court rooms

This role is subject to Enhanced DBS clearance and satisfactory referencing

The pay rate is £7.70 - £8.21 NMW. Benefits include holiday pay and pension scheme along with city centre location
