Court Usher, Band F

Location: Coventry, CV1 2SN
Office based
Hourly rate: £12.21 per hour
Working Days/Hours: 37 hours per week between the hours of 8am - 5pm
Contract This a temporary position estimated to run for 4 months.

Brook Street in partnership with the Ministry of justice has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as court usher. This is great opportunity to gain valuable exposure/experience working within the Public Sector.

Experience Needed/desired:

• Dealing with customers
• Time management
• Basic IT skills
• Are able to deal with difficult customers
• Proactive/active as on floor
• Multitasking

List the duties/ responsibilities:

• Set the court rooms and chambers with water and lists
• recording duty
• Team briefing
• Using software
• Date entry - find the names of barristers
• Printing
• Messenger for court room if required
• Check people in to hearings
• Finding people to get into the hearings
• Arranging specialist requests
• Receiving solicitors and court users
• Post room duties

Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application):
Enhanced DBS + BPPS

Please note that period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 5 years will unfortunately require an additional overseas police check, this will be the responsibility of the candidate to provide.
