Job Description

This is based at a lovely company on the outskirts of Birmingham City Centre, that turn a Brief into real life wether that be Experience, Theming, Film or TV

The Role

This is more of a studio design based role; they would be responsible for the Creative Artists, support creative and freelancers.

You would be expected to Evaluate the creative process and give direction to the team where needed. You will be overseeing theming joinery, painted & textured scenery, sculpting, moulding and casting GRP, general theming, artistic rendering and prop making sure that they meet the project brief.

Make sure that the creative team are working to agreed deadlines, informing the managing/project directors of any problems at the earliest opportunity, always monitoring and ensuring the highest standards of work.

Essential knowledge and skills
They would have worked on production before, more film type production. People with theatre back ground will probably not be experienced enough.

They should have extensive knowledge and experience of mould making; general theming, sculpting, scenic artistry, and using a wide range of techniques an understanding of period styles and history.

Excellent ability to use colour to very exacting standards and awareness of susceptibility of colours and mixes of shades.

Sound knowledge and experience of relevant painting techniques required for use with plastics that are capable to using the transparent and opaque qualities

Requirements

You need to be flexible with working overseas and across the country.
You would be flexible regarding the hours of work (weekends, evenings, and bank holidays if required.)

Sound experience and knowledge of perspective landscapes, line, colour shape

Proven ability to interpret from scale design to the larger set

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Helpful, positive and flexible approach
