Job Description

Can you excel in a Credit Controller focused role? Can you liaise with financial teams and senior management teams?

If so, this could be the perfect role for you. Working at the client's head office on the outskirts of the Chester area, you will be expected to achieve credit control targets by collecting overdue customer accounts and regularly updating the business on progress of each customer.

Day to day duties in this role include:

Working closely with the Finance Team Leader in the ensuring of smooth operation of all finance matters.

Resolving both invoice and direct debit queries via the phone and by e-mail.

Calling agents in the resolving of unsuccessful direct debit collections by both communicating and tailoring approaches to the specific customer.

Escalating specific cases of overdue debt to the Senior Management Team in line with the Credit Control Procedure.

Processing special arrangements and amendments for customers in line with invoices as and when required then updating the finance team on such cases.

Preparing and maintaining large spreadsheets regarding debt control and updating these weekly.

Supporting the Finance Team Leader when preparing monthly invoices to agents.

To apply for this role, you MUST have the following skills and experience:

Grade C and Above at GCSE or equivalent standard for Maths and English.

Able to liaise with both the Finance and Senior Management teams confidently.

Experience and the ability to work towards set targets.

It would also be desirable for the right candidate to be AAT qualified or actively towards studying towards such qualification alongside a strong working knowledge of SAGE.
