Job Description

CUSTOMER RELATIONS ASSISTANT - TELFORD - £19,500

Our client based in Telford is currently looking for an experienced Customer Relations Assistant with Order Processing experience within an office environment.

As a member of the Customer Relations team reporting directly to the Customer Relations manager the purpose of this role is to handle any customer and consumer requirements, as well as being the overall day to day contact.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing the highest level of customer services internally and externally and enjoys working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

" Maximise all sales opportunities by promoting the highest standard of customer care
" Receiving telephone, fax, e-mail and EDI orders
" Prompt and positively deliverance of order acknowledgements with correct prices, part numbers and realistic delivery dates
" Develop and implement new systems procedures or working practices to improve customer service efficiency
" Maintain and develop customer records / profiles including recording information supplied by internal customers
" Receiving and recording any relevant customer feedback including assessing how our competitors are meeting our customer`s needs
" Assist with order inputting as and when required
" Attentive, prompt and courteous handling of all customer enquires
" Customer education on current prices and part numbers
" Confirming stock availability when required
" Internal support for Field Sales team
" Telesales - existing customers only (no cold calling)
" Raising and submitting Pro-forma`s
" Recording weekly KPI`s
" Occasional collation and prepare analysis of credits
" Dealing with general public enquires to promote our brand and products
" Provide departmental absence cover
" Carry out any other task required by management.
" Follow company policies and procedures, i.e. Health & Safety, Hygiene, ISO 9000.
" Be prepared to work anywhere within the Department.
" Be prepared to work within any other department as and when required.

Essential Attributes
" Excellent data entry skills
" Previous experience in a high volume Customer Service role, preferably within FMCG.
" High attention to detail
" Excellent telephone manner.
" Able to use Microsoft Office software (Spreadsheets, word, e-mail.
" Good communication, verbal & written.
" Ability to work with computerised Stock Control system.
" Well organised.
" Ability to work on their own.
" Good level of education.
" Ability to use initiative.
" Flexible approach to work.
" Able to comply with company policies and procedures.
" Use of EDI order receipts system.


To communicate effectively with both internal and external customers
A second language would be desirable but not essential - preferably French, German or Spanish
Knowledge of SAP and/or Navision an advantage but not essential.
