Job Description

This is a 4 Week temporary position starting at the beginning of May in the Frimley area. Working Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm with a 45 minute break.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primarily, the role of the Engagement Officer is to:

Encourage members of the public to sign up as a member of the Sustainability Transformation Partnership (STP).

Effectively communicate the STP`s aspirations and what is involved/ benefits in becoming a member (related literature and training provided).

Capture details of individuals who sign up to membership on a membership form, writing clearly and legibly. An email address is vital.

Ensure security of completed membership forms until handed to team leader at the end of each day.

KEY QUALITIES:

Candidates will need to be very confident and out-going, articulate, and should have no reservations about approaching people in the street in order to initiate conversations.

Self-motivated, comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Well presented as acting as an ambassador of the STP.

Punctual and organised.

Happy to work outdoors even in cold weather (though there will be indoor locations available wherever possible).

Having own transportation is necessary and there may be a need to be able to move from one spot to the other in order to find new members. (Travel expenses are paid when travelling between locations on the job). On the job training provided.
