Job Description

Brook Street Leicester are recruiting on behalf of a local government body for a customer service advisor to join the team in early August on an initial 3-month temporary contract.

The position will be working within my clients Neighbourhood services team who are located in south Leicester at one of my clients support offices, which offers free on site car parking and is accessible via public transport.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer and able to deal with incoming complaints from the first point of escalation and see it through right up until the point of resolution, whilst leasing with various internal departments to ensure a timely and effective response. You must be assertive and rational, whilst able to negotiate to keep all stake holders happy and ensure no follow up complaint is lodge from the service users.

The Main duties of the role will involve;
" Dealing with incoming queries and complaints from service users over the phone, email and sometimes face to face. Ensuring these are logged correctly on the internal systems and investigating these problems to find effective solutions.
" Accurately maintain a range of departmental databases ensuring the statistical information is accurate and kept up to date.
" Lease with suppliers to obtain best value for money quotations for different services offered.
" Assist in ad hoc tasks such as project co-ordination, database cleanse and promoting departmental services.

My client would be interested in seeing candidates that come from a strong customer service or complaints resolution background, used to working on the telephone and strong IT skills.
Anyone that may have done whilst working within the public sector will be looked upon favourably.

Working hours are 09.00 - 17.00 Monday - Thursday but you will finish at 16.45 on Fridays. The hourly rate of pay is between £10.00 - £11.00 per hour.
