Job Description

Brook Street is working with our client in Newtownards to recruit a full time and permanent Customer Service Advisor to join their expanding team

The Role

The role is responsible for providing an effective and high-quality support to the home-trade customer base in the areas of all incoming call handling, order taking, stock reservation, stock management and customer complaint handling.

The role will also ensure that all appropriate financial transactions in relation to sales and credits are processed in an accurate and timely manner.


The Person

The successful candidate must be educated to GCSE Level (to include Maths & English Grade C or above) or equivalent and have previous experience within a busy, time pressured Customer Supply environment as well as previous experience of an ERP/CRM/ Sales Ordering/Stock Management system.

The candidate will also have excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as an excellent telephone manner and interpersonal skills.

An ability to quickly pick up IT systems is essential as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

The successful candidate will be proactive, professional and be able to deal with pressure to respond to customer demands while ensuring the customer remains their top priority.

While not essential, experience gained within a food manufacturing environment, interacting with customers/contractors by phone, experience of working with stock rotation/ interacting with hauliers/transport companies and experience of SAP would be desirable.

The role is based on 37.5hr per week and will be Monday to Friday between the hours of 08.30am and 17.30pm
