Brook Street have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Advisor to join a large organisation based in Belper. Role - Customer Service Advisor
Contract - Ongoing temporary role to cover maternity, potential to become permanent
Pay rate - £9.23 per hour (+bonus)
Hours - 42.75 (including some weekend and Bank Holiday shifts)
Location - Belper
The main function of this role is to provide an excellent level of customer service and support through inbound calls and emails. This will involve a wide range of calls from offering advice to dealing with complaints effectively.
Successful candidates will be immersed into the companies fantastic 6-week training programme allowing you the time needed to understand the role and how to help their customers as effectively as possible.
This role will also have an element of sales involved; full training will be provided for this. Successful applicants will be expected to use their customer service skills to inform existing customers of all products available, upselling products where possible. This gives you a great opportunity to earn yourself bonus on top of your hourly rate of pay!
Candidate requirements -
- Previous Customer Service Experience
- The ability to listen effectively and show empathy towards various customer issues
- Problem solving skills
- Willingness to learn new skills and systems
- IT literate
- Able to work as part of a large, successful team

In the initial 6-week training period candidates will be required to work between 8:15am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Once you've completed this, you will go onto the usual shift rota which will require candidates to work some weekends and bank holidays. Candidates will be expected to work 1 in every 3 Saturdays and 1 in every 5 Sundays, these will not be on the same weekend.
This is initially an ongoing temporary contract to cover maternity leave. For candidates who are successful in the role this will become a permanent position within the company.
