Job Description
Brook Street are recruiting for customer service consultants to provide a first point of contact and efficient service to customers within the inbound contact centre.
Our public sector client offers training, great working environment along with the opportunity to gain valuable public sector experience.
The role is temporary working 37 hours per week, 5 days out of 7, shift patterns will be on a rota basis and will include weekends. The role initially is expected to run for 2 months and may have the possibility of being extended. This role is to start on Monday 2nd September 2019 and you must be able to start on this date.
As a Customer Service Consultant you will be responsible for providing a first rate service either by phone, written correspondence or webchat.
Duties will include
Resolving customer queries where possible
Handling calls which may involve complex conversations
Referring calls where necessary
Completing basic calculations
Taking payments by phone, letter or online service
Creating customer records and maintaining the database
Shift patterns are alternating Monday - Sunday between the hours of 8am & 8pm, shift patterns within this may include
Monday to Friday
8am-4pm
9am-5pm
12pm-8pm
Saturday
8am-4pm
Sunday
9am-5pm

Essential skills required
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to handle both enjoyable and fast-paced conversations
Ability to provide accurate information quickly and clearly
Excellent attention to detail
Proficiency in maths and the ability to deal with basic calculations
Good strong organisational skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Experience of working in a customer service role is an advantage, however full training is provided.
The pay rate is £8.77 - £10.97 per hour, benefits include holiday pay, pension scheme and paid lunch hours
