Customer Service Team Leader

Southampton

Salary circa £26,000 - £33,000 per annum

My client is Solent based Engineering business, due to their growth they are expanding and in search for an experienced Customer Service Team Leader.

About the Role

  • Leading a small customer service team to provide commercial / administrative support for national and international customers
  • Daily contact with customers predominantly via email and phone; working with the Customer Service Manager to ensure the effective and efficient handling of incoming customer queries
  • Preparation of quotes in ERP system based on customer requirements
  • Generation of Open Order Reports for customer and monitoring of delivery dates
  • Accurate and timely order processing in ERP system in line with KPI requirements
  • Providing updates to customers on order status when requested
  • Handling of special order types
  • Assisting shipping department with any customer queries regarding delivery/returns queries/exhibition shipments
  • Recording and processing customer complaints - issuing returns numbers and liaising with the necessary departments to reach a suitable outcome for the customer
  • Liaising with global Customer/Sales/Product Management teams
  • Providing weekly data required for company reporting

What we need from you:

  • Strong customer services background
  • Experience of processing Sales orders
  • Happy to be office-based (non-remote)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ideally SAP/ERP systems
  • High customer focus and able to work well in a small team.
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills and a smart appearance
