Job Description

Our client a national utility company is looking to recruit a Customer Support Officer to work independently out of their South West Hub - Redruth Depot. A Company Vehicle will be provided, Fuel Card, Uniform Laptop and Mobile Phone,

The Customer Support Officers (CSO`s) are employed to improve customer satisfaction in the planned work programme. CSO`s will communicate face-to-face with the customers before and after planned work is completed, to explain what work will be undertaken and how it will affect them personally. You will work collaboratively with operational teams on site to ensure that work is completed as efficiently as possible and that customers feel they`ve received a 10/10 level of service.

Roles & Responsibilities

Door knock and meet individual customers before the operations team start work.
Ensuring that the customer fully understands their initial notification letter.
Identify priority customers and make necessary arrangements to minimise inconvenience.
Promote the priority service register and sign ups with eligible customers.
Ensuring customers know who to contact for an enquiry when work will start and finish, address any queries the customer may have about the work.
Build strong rapport with operational colleagues to deliver the customer journey effectively.
Once projects are complete, revisit customers to confirm satisfaction making sure they feel they`ve had a 10/10 level of service and inform them of the questionnaire sent out on behalf of our regulator.
Attend community engagement events.
Promote safety campaigns in schools.

Required skills/attributes

Self-motivated with an ability to thrive in a dynamic target driven environment.
Experienced in a customer service role.
Confident in dealing with customers and operatives on site.
Demonstrate high levels of energy, applicant will be required to be active.
Excellent communicational skills
Good public presentation skills.
A high standard of keyboard skills and a working knowledge of standard Microsoft applications.
Full driving license is essential.

You will need to be confident to travel regularly around the South West Hub (ranging across, North Devon, Exeter, Plymouth, and Cornwall) as workload dictates.
