Job Description

Brook Street is working with our client in Larne to recruit a full time and permanent Customs Coordinator


Main Duties

Request customs clearance documents from customers prior to cargo arrival.
Complete Customs entries on internal system and submit to HMRC
Raise customer files, collecting and completing all documentation prior to release and/or delivery of consignment.
Secure payment cleared funds for duty/vat prior to release and delivery of consignment
Organise and arrange deliveries as per customer requirements.
Processing and checking of invoices.
Monitor uncleared entries daily.
File, closing cost and sales invoicing to be completed in a timely manner.
Filing and archiving job files once completed.
Liaising and cooperating with HMRC on queries.
Responding to and dealing with customer communication by email and telephone.
Maintaining customer relationships and monitor the quality of service they are receiving.
General administrative duties


Criteria

Experience preparing import/export documentation for customs agents / HMRC
Experience in stock control or assisting in other practical goods in/out experience
Experience communicating with hauliers and customs agents
GCSE Maths and English


Salary will be between 23-25k depending on experience
