We have an opportunity for a Global Transport and Logistic company, attracting Customs Import Managers based in Harwich. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a busy customs team, adding extra quality to an already high skilled team, provide solutions to challenges and problems whilst at the same time working under pressure.

You will be leading a customs team to deliver department objectives and KPI`s. A self-starter who can convey and implement their own vision to drive the team. Be able to create a culture that focuses on employees` strengths through training and development. Have full responsibility for UK Customs processes and declarations.

KEY REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

An excellent understanding of HMRC regulations for international Exports, Imports and Transit
Proven track record and experience in International Operations
Lead inspire and develop a dynamic Customs team
Ensure all Customs declarations and processes are completed within a timely manner to avoid delays to international parcels for both exports and imports
Ensure Customs declarations are compliant with HMRC regulations
Lead and assist with the implementation of new operational processes in-line with the development of International services and products
Provide recommendations and implement Customs processes and simplifications
Liaise with and maintain an excellent working relationship with HMRC and Border Force on Customs matters and enquiries
Previous experience in this role.
