Contract is until June 2019

Brook Street is currently working on behalf of our Global IT Client to recruit a Search Trends Data Analyst. This is a home-based, 18 month contract role that will require visits at London Paddington once fortnightly.

As a Brook Street contractor you will be entitled to 25 days holiday per annum, 8 days paid Bank Holidays pro rota, discounted gym membership, use of the onsite health facility, access to online learning and training, free parking and an excellent subsidised restaurant.

Job Description
Our client is seeking a data professional with experience of manipulating big data in an online environment. In this role you will be working with large data sets in order to identify opportunities for a consumer website covering current events and popular culture.

The successful candidate will be familiar with search. He/she will be capable of analysing and reporting on search trends to drive content programming. As a member of our team, you will need to love data, and be able to demonstrate good awareness of British cultural events and search trends.

You must be able to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently, and work well under regular deadline pressure in a constantly evolving environment. You will be working with the team in Seattle frequently, so late afternoon meetings (calls) from home will be a big part of the role.

Responsibilities
o Manipulate big data sets
o Create reports to inform editors on search trends to aid in identifying content programming opportunities.
o Contribute to editorial planning and calendaring

Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will be:
" Proven Experienced and capable of handling and manipulating big data sets
" Excel and SQL experience - 3 years minimum experience
" Expert level English and UK pop-culture awareness

Qualifications
In this role, you need to have/be:
o Bachelor's degree, with minimum 3-5 years' experience in search or web analysis
o Professional grade English
o Expert level Excel
o Experience using SQL
o Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and familiarise yourself with new topics quickly.
o Well-versed in current Web trends and concepts.
o Proactive, organised, easily able to multitask and comfortable making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
o Detail-oriented, with great follow-through.
o Committed to consistently delivering quality work.
o Comfortable working in a collaborative team environment or, as needs dictate, in an independent, autonomous role.
o Flexible
