Job Description

Our client based in Basildon is recruiting for an experienced Data Analyst to join their team

They want you because you are an experienced Data Analyst with superior Excel skills, including writing macros and transformation of data and you love building bespoke dashboards in Tableau, or a similar BI tool along with using your excellent skills in SSMS for data manipulation/cleaning, relational databases and simple forms.

You will need to be experienced in manipulating and analysing large numerical and text-based data sets and transforming them into standardised, user friendly format. You will have a strong knowledge of common statistical methods and are keen to develop initiatives for providing more efficient bespoke tools in Excel and Tableau.


As a Data Analyst you will cover a wide range of analytical activity to provide high quality insight and information reporting to a variety of clients.

You will be working with a small team responsible for providing a high-quality data service, based on structured and ad-hoc requirements from a variety of sources, with both internal and external customers.

The services provided are vast, everything from producing reporting for management, extracting contact data from the core systems to meet client needs, through to providing collaborative quality assurance support to your colleagues.

There is also a lot of collaboration with their in-house project management team and other stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely solutions to client problems, as well as processing and maintaining internal changes as necessary to their core products used by their clients.

Educated to degree standard in a relevant subject.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy.
Ability to follow set procedures.
Ability to take ownership for a task and be accountable for its outcome.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proven task management experience in a pressured environment.
Knowledge of creation and running of Microsoft SQL queries
Knowledge of analytical functions within Excel and Access


PLUS ideally ...
Knowledge of CRM systems
SQL Server SSIS and SSRS
SNAP Surveys or other survey platform
Tableau or similar business intelligence/visualisation software
AND
If you have knowledge of the healthcare/pharmaceutical/medical sectors too that would be fab!!
