Job Description
Data Analyst (Home Office)
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (Full time)
Location: Sheffield (Hybrid Work Model)

The job holder will hold several responsibilities, including delivery of regular and ad-hoc business reporting requirements, as well as playing a key role in embedding new technologies and shaping the future delivery of services.
The job-holder must be flexible, customer-focused and confident at delivering to tight timescales and managing conflicting priorities. They will have good communication skills, both written and oral, and a keen interest in using data to shape discussions about operational performance.

This post provides an opportunity to work in a fast paced environment, engaging with projects that work across the department to understand and deliver reporting requirements both short and long term, and provides opportunity to understand first-hand how the different parts of the Home Office, and external bodies use and interact with key performance information.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Strong numerical skills and experience of working with data.
* Experience of working with Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to work methodically to tight timescales whilst maintaining accuracy.
* Excellent organisational skills, a good planner and manager of own work, and able to use initiative when necessary.
* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through written reports and verbal presentations.
* Strong team player, demonstrating professionalism at all times, and always looking for ways to improve how things are done.
* Able to maintain performance when under pressure and remain focused even when things don't go smoothly.
** You will be required to undertake security clearance for these roles and it is imperative that you hold a valid UK passport and be able to provide two proofs of current address and a proof of national insurance. **
Start dates will be confirmed once we have had clearance back, but will be throughout June - August
