Job Description

We have three positions available working as Data and Information Analyst within NHS Digital. This is long-term temporary role.

Location- Leeds City Centre and home working

Hours- Monday- Friday 9am- 5pm

Salary- £12.74 per hour

NHS Digital's Trusted Research Environment (TRE) service for England provides approved researchers with access to essential linked, de-identified health data to quickly answer COVID-19 related research questions and safely publish their research results. It is a major new service from NHS Digital, commissioned by the government's SAGE group and a big part of Data Services' future, enabling NHSD to move from data dissemination to safe, rapid data access.

To keep health and care data safe and secure, the TRE adheres to the Five Safes Framework: ensuring that Safe [accredited] People working on Safe Projects in a Safe Setting have access to Safe Data to conduct their research and Safely Output their research findings.

The Service requires a Data and Insight Analyst to support the management and analysis of data across its full lifecycle, from initial receipt and preparation of the data asset through to analysis and interpretation of the data to support publication. Working as part of multi-disciplinary teams, the role holder will ensure that data are handled in an efficient and secure way in line with information governance legislation. Initially you will help our customers to better understand the relationship between COVID-19 and condition specific diseases such as Cardiovascular and Cancer.

Reporting to the TRE Senior Data Wrangler, the main responsibilities for the successful candidate will be to assist in the curation of Electronic Health Records data. The role holder will apply skills across a range of data management and analysis areas including:
