Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a company based in Leicester with a competitive salary of £19,000 per annum and some fantastic benefits.

The company provides the highest quality audiobooks, e-books, e-magazines, learning programs and more.

THE ROLE
Process and/or modify details for hundreds of thousands of titles a month to ensure integrity and consistency. You would be responsible for managing the data for thousands of books each year. The data feeds the company websites and business systems, so it is critical that the data be accurate and entered in a timely manner.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage, organize and prioritize files from publisher partners for processing.
Run a multi-step load process, troubleshoot issues, solve problems add files to reports for review.
Devise approval reports to review data for errors and inconsistencies. Cleanse data previously loaded so that is it up to date and accurate.
Devise corrections reports: Apply rules to fix data to ensure consistency and integrity of data such as:
--Add new publishers, imprints and parent publishers
--Coordinate with Royalties dept to ensure correct rates are applied
--Remove duplicates
--Add new series to master series table
--Fix issues such as missing BISACs, Genre conflicts, missing sales rights
Devise contributors report: Modify contributors to adhere to rules for ingestion of the data.
Validate data that has been loaded each day.
Assist in daily tasks such as troubleshooting, running queries to compare data, etc.
Monitor missing assets (covers, ePubs, eAudio) past release date. Contact publishers to receive missing content again to further increase the accuracy of the data.
Data reconciliation with publisher partners as requested.
Works closely with Development team to test new publishers` ONIX/Excel files, and test modifications to existing ONIX / Excel and test new features desired by other teams.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Desirable Previous Experience: Experience of working with SAP B1 or another ERP system. SQL query writing experience.
" Good knowledge of Microsoft SQL including query writing
" SAP B1 experience or other ERP systems experience
" Good command of Microsoft Office tools particularly MS Excel
" Data entry skills
" Independent and self-motivated
" Ability to both function independently as well as in a team, using sound judgment to make decisions in a timely manner
" Effective communication skills
" Proactive, practical, and creative approach to solving problems
