Job Description
A well established Children Services are now recruiting for Support Workers for their 5 bed Residential Care Homes in Lymington, Hampshire. You will be supporting Children & Young People from 8 - 19 year olds who have ASD (learning disabilities, Autism, high functioning Aspergers) and mental health who will display challenging behaviour.
Main Job Role:
- Offer therapeutic / emotional support
- Work together in a team to help get them up in the mornings to putting them to bed at night
- Get involved in preparing & helping them with meals (Breakfast, dinner and lunch)
- Support them out in the community
- Get stuck in with their daily 121 / group activities - bowling, going for a walk, education activities...
- Prompt only with personal care
Qualifying candidates:
- Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any sector / setting)
- The homes are based 25mins walk down a dark county lane from the train station
- Must 18 years old or over
Contract / Terms:
- £8.72 an hour (goes up after probation)
- £9.23 an hour if you have a Diploma / NVQ / QCF Level 3 in Children & Young People`s Workforce
DAYS
- Salary will be between £3,627 - £19,198 per annum
- Full or part time (contracts available: 8, 16, 32 or 40 hours a week)
- Sleeps are available at request paid at £50 per sleep
- Shifts are 7:30am - 3:30pm and 3pm - 11pm (long days available too)
NIGHTS
- Salary will be between £5,307 - £20,158 per annum
- Full or part time (contracts available: 10.5, 21, 31.5 or 42 hours a week)
- We try give you 4 nights on and 4 nights off.
- Shifts are 9pm - 7:30am (10.5 hour shifts)
