Job Description

** Brand New Support Worker **
** Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire **
** Permanent and full time **
** Driver is preffered but not essential **
** 37.5hrs hours per week **
** £17,550 / £9ph **
** 7am - 2pm/2:30pm & L; 2pm/3pm - 9:15pm /9:30pm **
** Adults with Epilepsy/ Cerebral Palsy/ communication problems/ Autism/ mobility issues **

BS Social Care are currently recruiting for Support Workers who have experience supporting adults with varied and complex learning disabilities. We are working with a residential home based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. We are looking for candidates who can drive and have at least 6 months experience.

The charity that we are partnering with is a nationally recognised charity that has a long history of helping to support people with complex needs such as Cerebral Palsy, learning disabilities and autism. They create personalised and care plans of care that are unique to each individual. They are looking for people who share their passion for care and can help them provide a welcoming and happy environment for their residents.

The role will require lots of manual handling and personal care, this mean the role will require you to be able to get involved and help the patients whenever needed. You will be working with adults who have mild to severe Learning Difficulties and challenging behaviours.

Your duties will include:
- Writing reports
- Washing and bathing the service users
- Taking them out to the day centre
- Preparing meals
- Arranging medication
- Getting them ready for the day
FULL TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN

While it is not essential, a driver is preferable.
