Job Description

We are recruiting for an Accountant to join a multi Franchise Site in Kidderminster, Worcestershire as a Dealership Accountant. Our client are a 2 site dealership with 4 franchises within a family owned group of companies.

Key Repsonsibilities

  • Preparing of monthly management accounts, using Excel and reports extracted from our CDK system
  • Reviewing vehicle and after-sales transactions/debtors
  • Manage fixed asset register and run depreciation in line with industry norms
  • Create month end journals
  • Maintaining Purchase and Sales ledgers and controlling debtors
  • Ensuring stock is recorded and counted on a monthly basis
  • Daily banking is dealt with timel and accuratly
  • Work closely with other members of the accounts/sales admin team to ensure deadlines are met where necessary
  • Authorise payments to suppliers and third parties ensuring company policies are adhered to
  • Preparation and submission of manufacture composites in a timely fashion
  • Work with the management team and attend internal meetings
  • Ensuring all manufacturer schemes are adhered to
  • Balance sheet reconciliation

Skills and experience required:

  • Qualified by experience, Part Qualified or Qualified
  • Kerridge/CDK experience is preferred
  • Previous motor trade experience mandatory
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines, often under pressure.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to spot errors.
  • Full discretion with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Pro-active and customer focused
  • Well-organised with an ability to multi-task
  • Ability to show ownership for workload
  • Attention to detail
  • Time management skills and ability to work to deadlines
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Upbeat and friendly personality
  • IT literate
  • Presentable and professional appearance
  • Management of a small team
