Job Description

My client is looking for an experienced Demand Planner! Have you had experience in this position before? If so I`d like to encourage you to continue to read further.

In 1981, a family organisation was founded to deliver unrivalled PPE and Workwear products to key industries, nationally. Since that time, my client has evolved to become one of the UK`s leading importers and distributors of Workwear & PPE. Retaining our family values, the third generation of their founders took over the business in 2011, and we have grown rapidly ever since.
Today, we provide Workwear & PPE to organisations nationally, from our 40,000 ft2Distribution Centre in Fareham. We work with suppliers globally to source ethical, durable and compliant safety products, with a catalogue which is continuously updated and enhanced as new items and materials are developed.


This role is an integral part of the Team and manages the stock plan for our own brands. As these brands are crucial to our future sales growth, it is critical they are managed effectively and the out of stock situations are eliminated.

You will be working within a brilliant office and with a brilliant team surrounded by experts in their field. They are growing at an exponential rate so this is an opportunity not to miss.


You will be responsible for the following but not limited too.
" Planning and forecasting offshore stock buying schedule of all own brand SKUs for our approved suppliers.
" Identify stock requirements of current customer branded garments and agree with Sales team to create a buying schedule.
" Communicate stock and supply information to manage business and customer expectations.
" Expedite overdue orders and update customer services as requested.
" Manage overseas purchasing order through to shipment and documentation.
" Communicate and manage shipment schedules with Operations.
" Maintain records for tariff rates, logistics costs and export documents for all imported products.
" Be flexible to assist the team where necessary if requested by management


Desired knowledge, skills & abilities
" Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills including VLookup, Index Matching etc.
" Good communication skills
" Well organised to manage multiple projects and tasks
" Understand overseas supply planning principles
" Ability to solve problems and remain calm under pressure
" A good team player
