An exciting opportunity has risen to work for the NHS for our client based in Cambridge who are seeking a Dental Receptionist.

As a Dental Receptionist, you'll proudly be working for the well-established NHS and will play a vital role at the forefront of a friendly and supportive team. You'll manage all incoming communications including telephone, fax or letter and/or any other forms of communication to support the dental teams.

Hours: 37.5 per week
Location: Cambridge (CB25 area)
Pay: Band 3, £9.09 per hour
Start date: ASAP

Your main duties will include:

Reception/Appointment Book

• Welcome patients and visitors warmly and direct them to the appropriate area
• Notify dental team of patient's arrival
• Takes responsibility for the answer phone and recorded messages
• Schedule patients' appointments in person or by telephone/text liaising with the dental team when necessary
• Record referral letters

Mail out

• Recall appointments/failed to attend correspondence
• Referral letters/Cancellations

Mail In

• Distribute post accordingly
• Record referral/communication correspondence in the patient's notes
• File all letters/correspondence in the appropriate place
• Maintain the appointment system
• Accurately prepare and maintain patient records
• Log all referrals
