Job Description

Role: Deputy Manager
Location: Bornemouth
Salary: £25,472 - £27,682

I am recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join a service that provides care for Adults with Autism.

You will be key in delivering high quality care to the people supported, ensuring you optimise on enabling the people to live the most fulfilled and independent life.

Duties include:
Providing supervision, mentoring and leadership to support staff
Develop, implement and adjust care plans to support individual needs
Work alongside families and external providers regarding any safeguarding concerns or adjustments and activities/ weekly plans
Liaising with social workers and other professionals and completing assessments and support proposals
Lead the staff team in emergency situations
Work with the Registered Manger to maintain CQC requirements and standards
Contribute to the recruitment of staff in adult services, taking part in interviews and retention of existing team members
Support staff with performance issues

The ideal candidate:
Experience of working in a Social Care environment working with autism, learning disabilities or mental health
A Diploma/ NVQ 3 in care is essential
Level 2 or 3 in further management preferred
Autism qualification preferred
Reliability and commitment to delivering best practice
Excellent organisational, interpersonal and report writing skills
A readiness to work un-social hours on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends and sleep-in duties
The skills to lead and motivate others, work as part of a team and strive for excellence
Experience with autism and challenging behaviour
You will be required to work unsociable hours including evenings, weekends and on-call duties
MUST have a full driving license and access to your own car
