Job Description

I have a fantastic opportunity with Health Education England for a Deputy Head of Programme Support based in Birmingham. The assignment is for 4 months with view to being extended thereafter.

Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing own workload with minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Project administration and management, event organisation experience
Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office
Flexible, adaptable and capable of coping with changing priorities
Previous experience in education and/or assessment is desirable but not essential.

* Any supervisory responsibilities No line management responsibilities but will be required to
supervise and delegate work to others in the team. Must therefore be confident and capable of building good working relationships both internally and externally.

Brief Description:
" Planning, management and delivery of large scale, complex assessment events.
" Provide operational and/or project management of identified functions, team(s) and/or projects
" Support for the Deputy Head of Education and Assessment and Head of Programme Support as required
" Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in a variety of settings and ensure that processes and/or defined projects are carried out in line with the policies (local & national), procedures and legislations.
" They will also lead and support the development and delivery of identified programme support functions/ projects including:
o Exit assessments for both the Scientist Training Programme (STP) and the Higher Specialist Scientific Training Programme(HSST)
o Management of complaints policies and processes including investigation and response, ensuring deadlines are met and responses are consistent across the school and in line with agreed policy.
Experience and Knowledge:
" Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, e.g. PRINCE2, Managing Successful Programmes or equivalent (e.g. APM).
" Experience of supporting complex programmes full circle, from programme definition to delivery.
" Detailed knowledge of maintaining confidentiality and implementing data protection legislation requirements including information governance.
" Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments.
" Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes.
" Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment with diverse stakeholder input.
