Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Home Manager of a Children's Residential Home on the Birmingham / Black Country border.

My client is is an independent social care provider with an excellent reputation for providing high quality care and tailored support to young people.

This role is to assist the Registered Home Manager to lead a team of staff members in meetings the needs of the vulnerable young people. The role will at times require the post holder to cover shifts during the working week and at times , staff illness and annual leave as applicable. the young people within your care require high levels of supervision and support to encourage independent living, support with education, training or employment, emotional support and guidance.

This position is best suited to an individual who is passionate about improving the lives and potential outcomes for vulnerable young people and will have an anti-discriminatory approach to their work.

You will hold a minimum of a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent and be willing to work towards and complete a Level 5 QCF within 12 months of taking up the post. You will be experienced in supervising and supporting members of staff, managing budgets and have a good sound knowledge of The Children's Act 1989 and OFSTED guidelines.

This exciting opportunity offers a salary in the region of £25,000 - £28,000 depending upon experience.
