Job Description

Job Title: Deputy Manager
Location: Selly Park, Birmingham
Salary: Up to £26500 with on call allowance
Hours: Full time with on call requirement

The client:
In partnership with an established, person centred charitable provider, I am seeking a deputy manager to join an established, setting for adults with autism, complex behaviours and needs.


You will become a highly valued and important member of an organisation who enriches the lives of the people they support, as well as their families.


The Job:
Your new deputy manager role will require you to work 37.5 hours per week and deputise for the registered manager in their absence.


You will be based in purpose-built setting that specialises in person centred care, positive behaviour support and the promotion of independence for adults with autism and complex needs. You will be part of an established team which actively supports community involvement, meaningful activities and health and wellbeing benefits for the people in your care.


Key Responsibilities and duties will include:
" Positive behaviour support planning
" Updating and maintaining individualised care plans
" Report writing
" Internal and external auditing
" Staff training, recruitment, and mentoring
" Staff supervisions (this will also include evenings and weekends on occasion and as required)
" Behaviour management via non-physical interventions
" Quality and compliance management

*** Although this role is predominantly Monday to Friday, you will need to have flexibility to deliver care and support and pick up shifts on occasion as required ***

Skills & Experience requirements:

To be considered for this outstanding role, you MUST:


" Be a skilled deputy or team leader who can demonstrate success in a residential care home setting for adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex care needs and behaviours
" Hold the minimum of NVQ level 3 in health and social care
" Be able to evidence a successful career in CQC registered settings and have an excellent working knowledge of CQC and other regulatory guidelines
" Have flexibility to share the "on-call" rota and be able to work the occasional weekend or evening as required
" Have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
