Deputy Manager - Residential Care

30 Hours a week- Part Time

Rochdale

£10.50 - £11.50 per hour depending on experience

Are you an experienced deputy manager with at least 2 years experience in working in elderly residential care? Are you looking to work for a home that strives for the best quality care and look after their staff? Are you ready to take on a brand new challenge? If so this is the perfect role for you!

My client is looking for an experienced and passionate deputy manager to help in the daily running of an elderly residential home. The home is situated in stunning grounds and is a 25 bedded residential for people over the age of 65 with age-related illness and dementia care. The home has just been awarded CQC status 'Good' and my client is looking for a dynamic individual who will help them drive towards the 'Outstanding' status. So if you are resident/ patient focused and strive to deliver the highest quality care we want to hear from you!

As deputy manager your role will be varied and exciting. Daily duties will include doing staff rotas, leading the care team and more. Shifts will be split between supernumerary and hands on care on the floor so it is essential you are medication trained and are proficient in using Microsoft office 365. Working for such a dynamic home, you will be flexible and open to change and you will welcome new changes such as medication being done electronically.

The ideal candidate will have a positive can-do attitude and be a problem solver. You will need to have a minimum of level 3 in health and social care, if not a level 5. If you want to work towards your level 5 the home will allow that and actively encourage and pay for it! You must be a driver and have 2 years experience as a deputy manager, this would ideally be in residential care, but if it is in another care sector feel free to apply!
