Deputy Manager- Children and Young People
Salary: £30,780- £33,800 (£13.30 per hour - £13.80 per hour) include 6-7 sleeps per month paid at £50 per sleep
Full time: Permanent position

Are you an experience Team leader or Senior Support Worker with a background in Residential Childcare seeking the opportunity to take the next step in your career? We have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the management team within a Childrens Residential Home. This role is full time, you will be required to work shifts on a 1 day on and 2 day off pattern and to carry out between 6-7 sleep in shifts every month with an incentive of £50 per sleep.

Your Responsibilities:

  • To deputise in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • To assist the Registered Manager in the implementation of all aspects of the Statement of Purpose
  • To work in partnership with other professionals to achieve optimum outcomes for young people. To offer supervision and support to senior staff in line with Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
  • Attending childcare reviews and planning meetings to provide information and achieve best outcomes for young people
  • Undertaking direct work with young people and acting as an appropriate role model.
  • Assist in developing systems in which young people are consulted about the quality of care they receive
  • Working in partnership with parents, carers, and other professionals to safeguard and promote the welfare of young people.
  • Chairing children's meetings and facilitating consultation with young people generally


The ideal candidate will have:

  • NVQ 3 in Residential Child Care
  • Experience working with children in a residential
  • Supervisory or Managerial: 1 year
